Saddle Fit Evaluation includes evaluation of one saddle, both static and dynamic assessments. This service will take roughly 1.5-2 hours. Also included - a saddle assessment form, back tracings, general evaluation of back and palpation. Flocking adjustments will be made if necessary (additional cost). As well as recommendations for any  modifications needed. Please complete Saddle Fitting Intake Form at the time of scheduling. 

If your saddle is deemed a poor fit during our static evaluation - we will forgo the dynamics.

Additional Checked Saddles - $50 per saddle

Expect to add on 30 minutes per additional saddle checked to total time. If your first saddle is immediately deemed unfit - I may waive the fee to check one additional saddle.

It is recommended that you get your saddle checked at least twice a year, as you and your horses body are constantly changing. Regular flocking adjustments ensure your saddle stays nice and balanced, as well as keep your horses back comfortable.

This service is ONLY for those who are looking for a new saddle and need to get measurements and/or recommendations for their saddle search. You will receive back tracings along with an assessment form. We will do a gait analysis, to get a look at movement. Your horses back will also be analyzed and palpated for asymmetries . Expect this service to take about 1 hour. This appointment does NOT include a static or dynamic evaluation of a saddle.

Flocking adjustments will be made on-sight, if it is deemed necessary during your saddle fit evaluation or trial. Flocking is done with 100% pure Jacob's Wool, imported from the UK. Flocking adjustment pricing may vary based upon the amount of wool needed for the adjustment.

We carry select gullet plates from brands such as EASY-CHANGE (Bates, Arena, Wintec), Simatree (Hastilow & Sons, Fairfax, Kent & Masters, Thorowgood) and Ideal Technical & Tactiful ( Ideal T&T Saddles). Gullet plate pricing varies by brand. Gullet plate changes will be made on site during a Saddle Fit Evaluation or Saddle Trial if appropriate.

Saddle Trial clients MUST have received an initial "Saddle Fit Evaluation" within the last 3 months. Saddle trials typically range from 1.5-2 hours. Up to 3 saddles can be evaluated. Additional evaluated saddles will be $50 per saddle. Expect to add an additional 30 minutes per extra saddle.

Saddle Trials saddles may be sourced by client or fitter. Clients have the option for saddles to be sourced by myself from local and out of state inventory after receiving their initial "Saddle Fit Evaluation" or "Saddle Measurements" appointment.

This service is for clients who have recently purchased a new saddle or have had their saddle strip flocked. Your flocking will settle and compress after 30 hours in the saddle and will need to be assessed and topped off. This service should be completed within 2 months or 30 hours, whichever comes first. Both static and dynamic evaluations will be provided, along with the necessary flocking adjustments. Expect this service to take 1-1.5 hours.

Estimated $145 for 3 saddles

I work with many local consignment shops and fitters, including my own to source saddles. I also work with Qualified & Master Saddle Fitters at Hastilow Competition Saddles, where they have tons of new and used stock of many brands. If we decide to have saddles shipped up for your trial, the client takes on the associated shipping cost. I handle the rest! It's an efficient way to get the absolute best fits for both horse and rider, without the extensive shipping & trial fees a buyer might endure on their own search.

Shipping fees can slightly vary based on day of the week and total weight of the saddles.

Rush scheduling is only available for clients that have received a "Saddle Fit Evaluation" within the last 3 months. Have a saddle or two on Trial you would like to have evaluated before your trial ends? I now offer rush scheduling to those needing last minute appointments.

Travel fees will be split amongst participants. Appointments over 60 miles MUST have at least 2 participants. Please inquire for distances over 100 miles of Southgate, MI.
